From what I saw in Pride, you'd think Silva would massacre Jardine with knees to the face in a matter of seconds. But considering what I've seen recently, Silva will probably look small, gas early, and get outpointed by leg kicks in the dullest fight of all time.

Not so sure. Silva had not fought in quite a while, didn't exactly look gassed against Liddel, and actually showed good recovery.

He doesn't have the greatest chin, but it isn't bad either. He's been knocked out by guys that have power, and only with great shots. Traditionally, he has very good recovery, and maintains his power and explosiveness late into his fights.

Yeah, he does seem a bit shot though, and doesn't have the same aggression in the ring he had in pride. Apprehensive, or worried about being dq'd? He had Chuck down early in their fight and just allowed him to stand back up.. Was that him worrying about getting caught by being too aggressive, or was that him remembering he isn't allowed to use soccer kicks in that situation?

I don't want to believe Wanderlei has lost his aggression, but it might be so.. If he has, then he isn't anywhere near as dangerous as he once was.

I don't think Wandy is involved in many boring fights, even in his loss to Chuck he gained alot of respect.

It was odd watching him be a little more tentative to go after an opponent than I remember.. Thing is, Chuck is so damned good at countering.. It may have just been a bad matchup for old Wand.

The guy just seems to love to fight, usually a caution to the wind type of guy. If he goes balls out against Jardine, he is going to, "**** keith."

I am just kind of pissed that Jardine isn't getting a title shot yet. He has beat griffon and Liddell, and Griffon is getting a title shot cause he has a personality.

I don't understand it. I think Griffon is a good fighter and all and I would like to see him pull off a win, but just because he beat shogun shouldn't warrant him a title shot.

He did have great fights against Stephan Bonnar, but he did lose to ortiz. Just doesn't seem fair to me thats all.

Silva's coming off a 3 consecutive losing streak.. I would really want to see him win this time.. I hope he still has what it takes. I didn't see the hunger in his eyes when he fought chuck so I would like to believe that he's hell-bent on bouncing back.. Come to think of it, wandy never had any success in his first ufc campaign years back..

and yes you have to have a little of that personality and excitement in your fights for you to get the bigger and high impact fights.. UFC, in a way, has gone commercial. on a logical standpoint, it's the only way to be able to sustain the organization. Dana is a businessman first and foremost and an MMA afficionado second.

And yes griffin gets a title shot because he is one hell of an exciting fighter with an all-heart attitude and no holds barred style. And that's why he's getting popular not only to mainstream mma fans but to regular and ordinary viewers as well.

And also because he's beaten a highly regarded and equally exciting and popular fighter that goes by the name of SHOGUN (the liddell fight would've been exciting to look forward to but...oh well..). :good

Wandy isn't juicing like he was that's why he's smaller and less aggressive.....

Jardine will probably use the same tactics that worked against Chuck, be interesting to see if that keeps Wandy off him seeing as Wandy is much more likely to come forward than Chuck.

Silva vs Alexander is a complete mismatch in Silvas favor.

Diet Wandy already showed that Alexander doesn't have a ground game, or wrestling to avoid the ground.
