I have wanted to see this fight ever since Popkins and I had a bit of a back and forth about it after Wanderlei lost to Leben, which took place in the thread that launched "bitchblike" and "the kod."

I wonder how big this fight would be if it were to take place in Brazil.

    Anyone else interested?

There are plenty of viable challenges for Chael at 205 after Jones thrashes him. I wouldn't be surprised to see Belfort jump to the front of that line if he loses to Rockhold.

Chael would most likely just grapplehump Wandy for three rounds. Would be great to see Silva catch him with a knee to the nose though.

Aint really seen much of Wandy on his back (kods excluded) working his Jits since Yoshida and Huntuuu.

Be a decent grudge match for both and a quality co-mainer

C'mon, this should be a season of TUF. I actually like this season of TUF, but Sonnen challenging for the 205 title is a joke. Sonnen doesn't deserve that shot. He is coming off a loss at middleweight, and he wasn't even close to winning it.

Sonnen and Wanderlei makes perfect sense. They have a history of words against each other:

Is Chael going to stay at 205?

Would you prefer this fight at 205 or 185?

Both of these guys are at a "what's next for me?" kind of moment. Well, Sonnen isn't. He is getting a title shot, but he should be at that sort of point in his career.

I think this fight makes perfect sense. There is a grudge. Sonnen has a chin and can't punch. Wanderlei has a punch and questionable chin. Sonnen has great wrestling with a weak submission defense. Wanderlei is rumored to have one of the better ground games that we don't get to see.

I would prefer it at 205 since Wanderlei just fought there, and Sonnen is there for his next fight. However, both guys can make 185.

I would prefer to see it at 205, because I would be pulling for Silva and think he is stronger there. Still, I'd be happy to see it at either weight.

 I like what you did there.

If Sonnen were to become champion, Wanderlei has done every bit as much as Sonnen did to earn his shot. At least Wanderlei's last fight was a win at 205.

I won't be surprised if Sonnen retires after the JJ fight.

Belfort v Wanderlei II is the fight to make.

Do you really think it will be different the 2nd time around? At least Wanderlei has a chance against Sonnen.

Yeah, Sonnen would be far more interesting at this point. Belfort would blast Wand again.

I do. Wanderlei v Sonnen is just so far off. If it were to materialize, if Wandy wants to wait that long then we wouldn't see it until the last quarter of the year.

A rematch with Belfort was supposed to happen anyways. It makes the most sense right now, imo :good

The only Wand fight I would like to see is his rematch against VITOR.

If not that fight, he should just retire now.

Belfort is fighting Rockhold in May, as far as I know.
