No, went to get a restraining order against my crazy ex. The judge didn't issue one, but I do have a criminal hearing at the end of the month to try her for the day a few weeks ago that she came to my mother's house, trashed the porch (threw a snowblower and ripped down the mailbox), punched me in the face and threatened to climb in a window and kill my family. All via text message, which you'd think would be pretty damning but the judge today was unimpressed by the seriousness of it. :conf

 

Man, tell me about judges.
We're in a dispute right now and we have already shown photographic and email messaging that the man is lying through his teeth.
Still he gets postponement after postponement to come up with another defense. It's absurd

 

She's free to continue harassing my family, my ex-wife, and the girl she thinks I'm seeing (we're platonic friends) and who she and her now soon-to-be ex-husband (against whom I also had a cease harassment order, which I withdrew last week as he moved out and is divorcing her and no longer under the spell of her manipulative sociopath BS) sent a flood of unsolicited texts, even after she requested they stop bothering her as they are complete strangers to her, "warning" her that I'm everything from a serial philanderer to a wife beater to a ******. :-(

No recourse from the law. She incriminated herself in writing making literal death threats, caused property damage, and there is evidence in text messages and emails of her admitting to physically attacking me unprovoked and yet she gets off with a slap on the wrist and "firm suggestion" from the judge to not contact me anymore (which he also leveled my way just as sternly as though our behaviors were equal).

Terrible judge. He actually had the nerve to ask with an eyebrow raised "any of these instances of her punching you or kicking you, did they actually hurt?" like he found it completely ridiculous. First of all she is a large, full-figured woman, only a couple of inches shorter than me and with a linebacker's shoulders, and 2nd, I was never going to willingly take her bait and strike her in return, given the way the law is biased toward female victims of domestic abuse. She is actually making counter accusations of that nature against me as is, claiming she had "bruises" as proof and other markings (which she actually stupidly contradicted herself about on the stand under oath when she acknowledged that she often had marks on her after rough consensual sex...which, for the record, wasn't always consensual as she leveraged threats many times in order to blackmail me into doing it when I didn't want to, which technically is rape by any fair interpretation of the law..)

Not sure if anybody realized, but this was actually streamed live on the Ring TV website. So if you bent over backwards finding alternate (probably lower quality/sketchy/translation-requiring) means of viewing - er, sorry. :!:
