I personally am somewhat of a Floyd fan so I cant say I ever root for him to lose as I like watching him fight.

For those of you who usually root for him to lose as many people do...do you have this "I want him to lose, but not to an idiot like Robert and his Dad" feeling?

Honest answers only please lol trying to get a feel of how people feel about Robert...I think he makes himself look kind of stupid and his Dad makes it even worse.

I would be happy to see him lose because I want him and Pacquiao both punished for avoiding each other and generally being overhyped historically. But Robert is the least person I've felt any emotion for against Floyd. I rooted for Floyd against Ortiz but wouldn't have complained if Ortiz had won. If Robert wins, I'll still get something out of it as Floyd's 0 going would be a huge event, but the new P4P king is going to be this corny guy who struggled with Aydin and got dropped by a shot Casamayor? He's nice and all but his trash talk seems so forced, he annoys me.

:deal Ok so im right in my assumption pretty much? Lol your so right its the "forced trash talking" that is most cringe worthy and annoying. I could literally step up there and talk **** far better then he does.

He will retire undefeated because he's not going to fight the pacs the bradleys the bertos.

I give him some props for cotto but a battle weary semi shot cotto gave him a lot of problems leads me to think his next 5 opponents will be very carefully chosen.

If he's not going to fight Pacman Bradley Broner Martinez etc then who the hell they got lined up for the next 5 fights :huh:huh:huh:huh:huh:huh

  7. I like Robert. If there is someone on Earth who deserves a huge upset win over Floyd to lead to more big paydays, It's Guerrero and his family. Especially after all they have been through with his wife's illness. His Dad is just trying to hype the fight, I really couldn't care less about that.

Then again you've admitted before in the past that you default to the underdog

I've never been fussed on Guerrero - I think Mayweather will start slow but eventually start to put it on him. The gulf in class will be palpable. I used to detest Maywether, but the more time passes, the more of a fan I've become.

I guess at the end of the day he is a nice guy, if annoying. He's definitely worked hard in the sport as well. I don't like the way he speaks but it doesn't matter as much as the grit he's shown in the ring. He talks trash like a 3rd grader but fights like a champion.

I also do this a lot. Although not when the upset would be bad for boxing. Bradley potentially beating Pac, Katsidis potentially beating Marquez, Guerrero potentially beating Mayweather...not exactly torch-passes to future HOFers. In those cases I find it hard to root for the underdog.

Same here...he has grown on me in a way. Probably out of admiration for how hard he works, its amazing that he has never really slipped up yet and blown a fight. He stays hungry.
