Want to kow the reason why Joe didn't fight Jones in his prime

RJJ is one of the few boxers where at his best, fighters would put their ego in check. I remember Joe saying how RJJ would be the toughest guy out there. I remember Mesi saying the same thing and he is a heavyweight.

Warren actually gave it a shot at making a few big fights i.e. Hopkins, Ottke and RJJ but they didn't want it. RJJ wanted STUPID deals and never paid the opponent what he wanted.

RJJ struggled to make big fights. What big fight did RJJ really make? Toney? Is that it. What genuine super fight did he make? We got the Tito, Calzaghe fights cos he was past it and had to finally conceede BUT even then he wanted even split or majority.

 

HOW LONG DID YOU SPEND GETTING THAT ?

i still oove calzaghe (not in a flint-enzo sense) but the guy is a legend in my eyes and you,primadona kool or mr plow or the marshmallow man aint goign to change that .

 

Right, so he thinks that fighting RJJ in his prime would be a risk.

He's not saying he wouldn't fight Roy or he definitely wouldn't beat him.He's saying he wanted a proper share instead of the bird seed on offer.

Slightly more concerned with his bank balance than legacy there but many boxers are like Pavlik, Mayweather etc

The only one with a question mark is Roy Jones but who cares Jones never fought everyone out there, he cherry picked with the best of them.

There's a lot of blind hate sent Calzaghe's way mainly because he never took a beating I think.

He beats a fighter and all his haters go well he'd kick your ass over there.

One thing is 100% certain, the reason why Calzaghe's getting slated again is 'cos Carl Froch pulled his arse out of the fire with a few bombs whilst looking **** the majority of the fight.
Suddenly he's got the tools to beat Joe? so far he's shown nothing to say he can.
Lacy could bang, Kessler can bang, Bika can bang the list goes on...........none of them could beat Joe.

 

Joe hid in Britain with his eurobum belt until he fought Lacy for a real version of a belt. The guy only stepped up in his last 6 and the opposition then was not over impressive. Shame what he did with his career but he got rich and duped fans into believing him. Warren did really well too.
