Want Vitali to fight Haye?

I'd love to see Vitali fight Haye. But, to be honest, I am also enjoying seeing Vitali being forced to do something he doesn't want to do. In my view he has been living off odd priviliges for way too freaking long.

Come on now lets not do that. The last thing we need is fans influencing the sanction bodies in favor of their favorite fighters.

 

Like being beaten fair and square by Lennox Lewis?

 

Oleg Maskaev has earned his title shot. If the WBC decides to block Haye vs Vitali Klitschko from happening, we need to respect that.

 

In my view Lewis won fair and square and it annoys the hell out of me that an old man [by boxing standards] is in some way constantly being called out for taking care of something he's already taken care of. I am no Lewis fan, he disgusted me for fighting Tyson at that stage, but he was a good champion and deserves to be left alone by former opponents and wanna-be-boxing-fans.

How the **** has Maskaev earned his title shot? He hasn't exactly beaten 2 worldbeaters since he lost to Peter, who was promptly embarssed by Vitali. I do agree with the other posters that there is a beautiful irony about Vitali complaining about the WBC making him do something he doesn't want to do.

 

who the **** are vitali and his fans to whine about this maskaeev mando shot after vitali himself just waltzed into a title shot after four years of inactivity?

After watching some past Vitali fights recently, I cant help but think what an excitng match up Vitali vs Maskaev is. We should be excited about this. Fans dont want to see Vitali vs Haye, they want Wladimir vs Haye.

I'd rather see Vitali vs. Tua. That would be fun to watch for sure, even at this stage.

Maskaev in my view is too slow and kind of weak-chinned.
But who knows, I had the impression Gomez managed to hurt Klitschko once, he had a similar exppression on his face (in the mid rounds) as he had at the end of the first against Sanders.

 

exactly i've noticed this as well, that the klits make horrible demands, like haye's contract, and wanting to fight valuev.....

and yes vitali didnt have to win eleminators to get a shot a the wbc title....the klits clearly own the wbc
