WAPA-TV (Puerto Rico) in the 1980s and to 1990-all free to us

This is what I remember watching free in Puerto Rico on channel 4 , WAPA-TV, as a kid. Channel 2 and channel 11 were major competitors too.

I moved to the US on April, 1990.

WAPA started showing less boxing in the late 80s because rival Tele-Once was outbidding them by now and Telemundo also.

Ill try to remember which fights were free on Telemundo that I watched tomorrow, and then Tele-Once as well.

Also, Rafael Bracero's voice is iconic. "Well, friends, WAPA-TV will..." or "Well, friends, you see now Chavez digging to the body, strategy which should pay dividends as the fight goes on, Let's return to the HBO telecast's commentary"....a legend. He also did baseball, basketball, American football, tennis and everything in between for WAPA>
