Cotto would end Alvarez right now. Hell I think Cintron would end Alvarez at this point. Wait until Cotto is shot and Alvarez steps up a bit more and it'll be interesting.
I would love this fight as Canelo's style has been said it resembles Cotto's very much, the master vs the young lion. Canelo like Cotto has a decent defense, but doesn't use it when he really should. I was yelling and getting frustrated for Canelo when he got tagged by Cotto's brother for not clinching. It's something simple, but something Canelo does not do effectively well. He needs to lay off the ropes and use those legs more to get out of the way like he would in earlier fights. I think Canelo's power is close to Cotto's, but Cotto has the better experience and has been hurt before, where Canelo if he gets hit by an elite he will get stopped. Cotto TKO8 Alvarez At this point Alvarez lacks the defense, doesn't clinch when hurt, and desperately needs world class speed to hang with the big dawgs. Those 3 things are his weakness.
Possibly a year or 2 away, If possible. All depends on both fighter's. (Buy if someone beat my Bro's ass I defo would want revenge)
