The sorry truth is that Holyfield will likely be very competitive vs. Povetkin. It's not too bad of a fight, given the current state of affairs. But Hellenius would be a better match-up.

Yeah, hoping against hope, I am on the train. It would please me no end to see Evander upset Povetkin, and like you, I think he CAN do it. While the odds are against it, true, Povetkin is no great shakes. And wouldn't it be just great to see that clown Teddy Atlas loose to another old man??

He is 50. He is 5 years from being called a ''Senior''. He will put up a good fight though. Sorry to say I doubt he will win. But good luck Evander. You have had a great career from the 80's to the 2000's. He gave us exciting fights in the 80s 90s and 00s

 

I think he'd have a chance against a guy like Helenius, but not against a guy with a high work rate like Povetkin. Don't waste your money on Hollyfield in this one.

 

Don't get all frustrated Holyfield was a great fighter fights with Tyson, Foreman, Toney, Bowe, ect. And Povetkin would beat Sultan's ass. So just calm down. This just isn't his time.

 

He's finished, has been for years, and he needs to get out without causing further damage to himself and the sport. His staying on is extremely selfish, and at this point I fear a savage beating is what it will take for him to retire.

He will get a title shot. He's high up in the rankings and its only a matter of time when you rank in the top 20.

It's a matter of who he fights. Povetkin he can beat. Wlad I doubt he can beat but he does at least have a chance. Vitali he should stay far away from.

 

If he were finished he wouldnt be a top 20 contender.
