Hes green and looked better against klit than povetkin. He also seems to have a great chin. I'm ready to see where he goes.
He put on an admirable performance against Wlad. Would be nice if he fought a contender in his next fight, and if he does it this year. I'm doubtful he does that, though.
He went distance with Wlad, so he's not done. He sure can make some big fights in the future. I'd like to see him fight AJ next year.
I give him props and I am not bashing him, but it kinda bothered me how he handled the fight against Wlad. Like congrats you didn't get murdered, but you won 4 rounds at most. You clearly lost, but because you won a few rounds and didn't get blasted, you tried to turn it into "yeah you know it was close I think I won". You're a boxer I get it, but get real here. Revisionist history already here.
Yeah, I agree, but the K's have such a high standard its almost expected. When Chisora took maybe 3 round at most against an injured Vitali, I saw some imbeciles saying he deserved a draw, or that Vitali was lucky etc.
That's the first thing that came to my mind actually. Granted, a fight is not completely based off rounds won in terms of overall performance, but Klitschko just faded against Chisora toward the end but banked plenty of rounds to win with ease. Wlad simply did more just about every round while Jennings wore earmuffs.
Jennings was interviewed recently. He turned down Ortiz because the monetary offer didn't reach his minimum. His minimum was not divulged. Originally after the Wlad fight reports were HBO wanted to bring him back in his own main event in the fall. However that is now out of the picture as most if not all of there fall dates are booked. Jennings himself said he doesn't know when he'll return and it may not even be this year. I hate to see a talent with his potential sit out for an extended period. I do hope when he does return it's against a top ten level opponent. Anything else would be a waste of time for him at this point and a step backwards.
He didn't win but he made wlad look like ****. Hopefully it was just that fight and wlad decapitates that bum fury and shut his mouth permanently.
Jennings is head strong. He believes in himself and had a good gameplan heading into the fight with Wlad.
I agree. Jennings is a top heavyweight but is fighting way too infrequently. He fought once in 13, twice in 14 and once in 15 with nothing scheduled. He doesn't take easy fights anymore so that's a big plus but his inactivity is frustrating.
I think wlad is old and that fat bum has a very good chance, but that would be sad , because heavyweight champion of the world should not be fat and look like fury . I don't like wilder but he at least looks like an athlete.
