The first analysis of AA-Taylor not to involve nostalgia, sentimental feelings or blind romanticism.

neither should it be to post a cynical response to one of the posters without posting a real one of your own.

dont make that as an excuse for not posting your point of view.

my name was 'badintentions' on BBC's forum before taylor beat hopkins.

taylor has a shot at this but i'm not sure if he can win it.

now tell us what you think.

Even if JT has stamina, he would not beat AA. He is not strong enough, and nor does he have the style to beat JT. JT can't fight inside, and that is his downfall when he is in with the very best. I never thought JT beat Hopkins, so I never saw him as a champion. JT is a nice guy, has a beautiful family, but he can't beat AA. AA is going to win the whole tournament.

The Hopkins fights were a long time ago, in boxing terms. Like I said, I like Taylor. He has talent and is a genuinely decent, respectful and likeable guy. Unfortunately, his natural ability and personality outshine his heart, desire, stamina and commitment. I wish there was a magic elixir that would restore what's missing but to his misfortune, it isn't available. Mental fortitude, dedication and balls are found within.

Jermain is much more skilled then Abraham...He is the way faster fighter and can easily outbox AA...Now will he outbox AA?? we will find out...But Jermain def has a very good chance of beating AA

To me, that would be the performance of the century. I don't think the rest of the guys in tournament are ATGs but I feel that most have enough to UD AA. He's a strong, cagey fighter but is as limited as they come. Against someone with speed, skill and the ability to use their obvious reach advantage, I think AA will look rather one-dimensional. In fact, two of the three traits that I have mentioned should suffice.

This is good to hear him actually say it. If he didn't get tired/lose focus in the late rounds, he might not have lost a fight yet. It's hard to overcome the tough losses he's had, but I hope he can do it.

    You get my point though?

Anyway, I'm originally form over near Sydney but haven't been there for a while. I am currently working between Europe and the US. Hopefully, in the next year or so, I'll be going to the Gorgon Project near Barrow Island (about 1100kms north of you) but will be based in Perth! Fingers crossed.

    i think he does too.

but i also think that abraham fighting 12 rounds with a broken jaw against a power puncher compared to taylor puffing against froch can mean the world for this fight.

i guarantee you that talor will feel that pang of doubt a long, long time before abraham does in tis fight...IF that moment comes.

it's impossible not to respect a fighter who can do what abraham did.

i think if taylor improves his stamina issues he can win this tournament and reach the top of the p4p list. taylor is one of my favorite fighters and i belive he is still one of the best schooled and talented fighters around i just wish that he was a better finisher and and had improved stamina.
im still gona say taylor will beatt AA....JUST plz dont fade
