I'm confident that Kessler will win the whole thing. Ward will be his toughest contest, but Ward's lack of power is a far more serious problem than many people realize. Ward took 6 rounds to get rid of Kolle, but welterweight Paul Williams blasted Kolle out very quickly. Pavlik and Abraham seriously damaged Miranda, but Ward landed flush on Miranda all night and he still finished on his feet. Ward simply does not have the power to keep Mikkel off of him. Ward has the speed and footwork to confuse Miranda, but MK is a cat of a different color. Plus, Ward's habit of holding a low guard is bad news against a guy who throws a 1-2 like Kessler. MK by KO. Froch: don't make me laugh. Kessler will hit Froch in the face at will until Froch falls down and can't get back up. A pre-fight analsys of this need be no more complex than that. Dirrell: Clumsy and sloppy won't work against a guy with Kessler's fundamentals. Abraham: As soon as AA runs into a good boxer/puncher who has decent hand speed, good work rate, a decent chin, who can think on his feet, he will get knocked out. Kessler most certainly meets or exceeds the minimum qualifications. Whether Jermain Taylor stays in the tourney or not, the simple fact is, Jermain "Bad Intentions" Taylor no longer exists. We are looking at JT's corpse.
Kessler's superb basics will win him this tournament likely. I only fear Arthur Abrahams power, Kessler will have to box beautifully for twelve rounds in order to beat Arthur, because we all know Arthur can turn it all around with just one punch to the very last second of a 12 round fight. Other then that, Kesslers jab will prove too much for Ward, and I expect Kessler to land the right hand behind and finish the night somewhere between the 7th and 10th.
Kessler his the one who got the better chance to end this tourney undefeated! If he win and i hope he will then a fight with Bute will be a must !
