Yes you heard me ESB. This fight is gonna turn into a war. Alot of bad blood. Gonna be close but hopkins UD 7-5
He is a legend, but if he goes to war he will lose I think, so he has to use ring IQ and slow the pace right down.
The most likely outcome is Hopkins losing a UD but of course claiming robbery. I hope Dawson knocks him out though.
Regardless what happens "Hopkins got robbed"...even if he wins he'll claim he was robbed. Dawson clear UD, common sense.
That would add to his legend. Beating the ring LHW champion Pascal last year was great, adding Dawson to his resume at this stage is almost difficult to imagine, but he showed great endurance last year.
Doubt it. . . HOpkins is WAY too smart to go to war with Dawson. . . He might take a few more calculates risks in some rounds, by standing in the pocket trying to wipe Dawson's nose with some overhand rights. . . But I seriously doubt this will be a constant "two-way" action type "war" of a fight. Pascal/Hopkins was a rarity. . That's abut as close as Hopkins will come to "standing his ground and going to war. . . " Even in those fights, the two-way, "clean punching" action was limited to spurts. . Hopkins knows how to sustain energy over 12 rounds. . . But Dawson's style is A LOT different from Pascal's - he's a range fighter, who fights behind the jab on the outside, thereby inhiting Hopkin's chances to utilize his brilliant technique, and timing. . . Whereas Pascal "jumped in" with wild combinations in straight lines; after the first 4 rounds, Hopkins had him timed, and easily wiped that nose everytime he would jump in. .. Pascal had NO JAB. . He was all foot speed, and power punching. . .
