Jack was chopping down Super-Pimp back in the day while others were getting destroyed

Pascal winning via close UD or SD. Pascal will be fighting off the back foot walking Jack in the counters all night, quite frankly I'm not sure if Jack can take his ambushes. Alvarez, Bivol and Kovalev tend to be backfoot counter punchers, while it may not seem like it at first glance. Even Browne is, although not a very good one, which is why Pascal learned his timing. Regardless it was good enough to beat Jack, and Pascal's backfoot game is more awkward rugged and hard to time, and he definitely won't allow himself to be caught along the ropes all that much and be outworked. Quite frankly it wouldn't shock me if Pascal stopped him either legitimately or due to reopening the cut.

Kovalev's stock for stopping Pascal twice is really going up. I used to say "Kovalevs best win is still Pascal"

and hey that aint a bad thing. Former Ring Mag champion, fought everyone retired and came back and beat to top 10s and is tough as nails!

I’d like to see Jean Pascal vs. Sergey Kovalev 3. Let Pascal get some revenge. Crazy how brutal the first 2 fights were. The 3rd one would probably look similar except for with the other guy winning. Although Kovalev might not be as durable. I’d actually be interested in seeing it

I've had my fingers crossed all week hoping that we might get to see a chicken dance to close out the year and sure enough Captain Jean-Luc Pascal saved the day again just like DDD did last week with that JTFO KD against Fujimoto. Granted Jack's a scholar and a gent and he would be very low down on the list of fighters one would want to see busting some chicken dance moves. But at the end of the day a chicken dance is a chicken dance and we simply don't get to see anywhere near enough of them.

Pascal would categorically spark out this version of Kovalev. The Kovalev that Pascal fought could punch holes in castle walls, the one of recent years has only managed to drop and really hurt 1 opponent in his last 7 fights due to his power (the Yarde KO was due to attrition not his once fearsome power). And Kov's chin is shot to **** now.

Kovalev is heavily on the decline and all but let's not pretend Pascal isn't. these wins for pascal are remarkable. but Kovalev can still keep distance, he can still jab. the only thing is they both fade. so if there isn't a knockout in the first 8 then Kovalev could be in just as much trouble as pascal. the thing is if pascal does win it would just be because Kovalev is more shot, which even in a kovalev win might still be the case

The shots Kovalev cracked Captain Jean-Luc Pascal with in their fights were savagely heavy and that vicious power punching Kovalev has long gone. So has his chin. Prime Krusher circa 2012-2014 is a completely different animal to the one of 2017-2019 as is the one from 2014-2017.

Pascal weighed over 195 last night, Kovalev is coming in about 180-182 these days. Pascal is 10lbs heavier than when they fought, Kov is between 4-9lbs lighter now.

    Kovalev 189 - Pascal 185
    Kovalev 186 - Pascal 185

2019 Pascal sparks 2019 Kov out.
