I am going to start logging my training for the upcoming Chicago Golden Gloves tournament in mid March and for a career in MMA. I hope you all come on board for the ride. P.S. all advice is most welcome.

Early a.m. consists of doing 35lb kettlebell swings using a full deck of cards to count my reps. purpose is for recovery, explosivness, endurance and keeping my weight at 154lbs.

Strength consists of one legged squats w 35 to 45lbs in a 5x5 or 3x3 program as well as one armed weighted pushups using the perfect pushup device. Pullups are done in the same manner as the squats.

There is also HIIT intervals of 6-8 minute miles on a treadmill for 3 miles and sprints while playing catch w a football thrown to me.

Skills training and sparring will gradually increase as i get closer to the fight and taper off two weeks prior to competition.

Diet consists of muscle milk, protien powder w oatmeal in the am. MRP's during the day and egg whites with olive oil in the evening. I do eat pasta 3 days out of the week to replenish my glycogen stores.

My supplements consist of BCAA pills, fish oil,ZMA, Animal Pak vitamins and glutamine.

Awesome. She roughed u up a bit but you kept your composure and fired off some very nice straights and combos as the fight progressed and i like the high tight guard that you kept in the face of adversity.

I would advice to be careful when you lunge in for the clinch as it leaves you open for uppercuts. Will analyize further and get back to you soon.

Just came across something called the CRAWL workout at www.primalstrength.com and from my research it is getting high reviews. Will buy in a week or 2 and keep a log of my progress and thoughts on it.
