114-113 x 3 might of been the best most accurate scorecards all year. I saw it exactly the same, these people who had Kovalev winning by 5 score fights for a guy just plodding forward.
ward won more than 7 rounds. There were close rounds but ward did just that little bit more. What did Kovalev land after round 4? he barely touched him with anything. Ward made it his fight (albeit ugly grappling) and bossed it his way. Kovalev wasn't used to it, and he certainly tired towards the end as he's not used to grappling even though he was good at it. Ward is used to fighting like that and going 12 rounds. Kovalev is not used to fighting like that and it showed towards the end when he faded
i thought ward won but from what i saw GGG was hardly "ringside" and unless you are right up close as the judges are i would not take his opinion that heavily
