First of all, the contracts state that the semi-finals are supposed to take place in America. That's not Ward's fault. Second, Carson is several hours away from Oakland has a huge Armenian population in the area so you can expect the crowd to be just as supportive for Abraham which possibly influence the judging. Won't matter though, because Abraham is going to have to invent a new weight class after the this one after he gets run out of the 168 pound division and can't make 160 anymore

I don't think anybody outside of Oakland actually knows who he is. From my personal experiences at Goosen Tutor events, they don't do a very good job promoting and with Ward's fighting style, he may be boo'd out of southern California. On the otherhand, Southern California has a big Armenian population. This could be interesting.

I want the event to be in Oakland, but only because I live in the area and would attend the fight.

Yea yea, I'm being selfish. :D

It will be good to see Andre fight in his home state for a change. He deserves it for all of those times he fought in hostile venues without the benefit of his judges and referee's who penalized him for his dirty tactics

    OH WAIT!:patsch

It could take place in Yerevan or Berlin.

    It really doesn't matter.

Ward is going to clearly win every second of every minute of every round until the final bell (unless he stops AA on accumulation).

If the S6 Finals are in California, that's another story. Then Ward will have had too many concessions, and the outcome against the other finalist (probably Froch) won't be anywhere near as predetermined as it is here so the location could play a factor.

Here, though? It doesn't matter. It's just as well that it's in California, to at least guarantee a passionate crowd and good atmosphere for what's going to be a boring and one-sided contest. Abraham has no chance to win anyway.

According to all this logic then you people have just made people like Calzaghe into road warriors ( he had vast majority of his fights outside wales).

I hate to say it but i agree :D Fight's locations are overrated IMO ! A ring is a ring at the end of the day.
