So its ok for ward to NOT move up and wait for GGG if he decides to move up?

Definately Ward is the bigger PUSHY here...

But of course he wants GGG to move up to SMW before he grows into it or even gets the chance to unify the MW division.

The biggest fights to be made right now, potentially for Ward - would probably be Froch along with Kovalev who resides north of him and GGG who's south. Limiting it to 168 or 175, the most challenging fight that can be made for Ward is Kovalev. That's the "biggest" fight he can make right now. But overall, in terms of quantity, I think there probably are more interesting matches for him that can possibly be made at 168.

Ward is obviously scared of any big punchers because he knows his chin is made of 90% American china. Plus, American fighters are notorious for having glass hearts too.

Quantity at 168? How many relevant guys hasn't he beaten at the weight?

DeGale, Groves... Stieglitz?!? Chavez Jr is a promotional mess, he's already beaten retired Kessler who offered him last year to come to Denmark (no counter offer), semi-retired Froch who won't fight him, about-to-retire Abraham who just wants to fight Sturm for big money and beltless Bika. He ain't fighting the Dirrells as they are with Haymon, which doesn't mix well with RN.

175: Pascal, Kovalev, Stevenson, Fonfara, take Beterbiev's cherry...

He said hes not moving up YET.

He said when he builds himself up to a natural 185-190 like the other LHWs, then he will

I think GGG vs Ward could be a bigger fight...Kovalev, Stevenson and Beterbiev are not on a superstar level yet. But GGG is on the horizon. Why should Ward rush to 175?

Couldnt wait to see him come back and test his Elite skills against some of the monsters at 175 after clearing out 168 so emphatically

What an absolute let down. Gives credence to all who say he's afraid to leave Oakland with his hand picked referee. He IS afraid

    Should have stayed retired. Poosi

kovalev needs to clean out the division and stevenson is sittting there as the lineal champ. I would think thats a lot more than Ward to be concerned with.

Here are the names of 168 at the moment:

    Froch - near retirement
Chavez Jr - good, but not elite. Does bring some money to the table though.
Groves - good skills, fragile chin and doesn't have the defense to beat the elite.
DeGale - The only guy who hasn't seen a bad defeat and probably the only interesting matchup
Stieglitz - falling stock after struggling with Sturm
Sturm - running from Golovkin and the 160 division
Dirrell Brothers - I doubt Ward will fight them...and both of them need to step up
Abraham - been there, done that and out of his prime
    Kessler - semi-retired

A really mediocre division at the moment, filled with just good enough fighters, but not good enough to be be considered elite.

None of these guys can elevate Ward. That's why people are asking him to move up. GGG still have a lot of fighters he can fight at 160. Ward can't say the same about his own division.

Stevenson called Ward out and at 168 but Andre didn't say a word. I really think he wants no part of him or Kovalev perhaps the **** whisperer in his corner sees something he doesn't like stylistically.
