Putting on 10 pounds is perfect. Anything more or less than there is a problem with the weight.

Doesn't surprise me at all Ward was at least 182 in his last couple of fights and contrary to what he says he obviously had problems making SMW hence why he moved up and he and his team refused to buckle when Paul Smith tried get them to agree to a catchweight of 170 as opposed to 172 at the negotiating table. The irony is Smith missed the weight by a considerable amount because he 'trained' on donuts and chicken wings. Rumour is he consumed in excess of 3000 chicken wings during that 'camp' and twice the amount of donuts

The myth that Ward was a small SMW is BUSTED.

Him and Barrera look the same complexion: height, build, everything.
I wouldn't call them BIG 175ers but definitely good size.

Ward has been draining himself to make 168 for a long time. But he was forced to go up right? :rofl

Another myth is that Ward is at a disadvantage at LHW. That's BS but people will use it to make Ward look like the little dude beating up the big boogeyman. :hey

Hope cereal lobotomy pops up, he said kovalev was a cruiserweight weight draining to make 175 when he weighed in at fight night less than ward weighs in the morning for the fight lol

Ward is a naturally big dude, he simply outgrew smw, he just doesn't want to admit it to build an image, and perhaps even have some leverage in future negotiations.
