Ward and Dirrell seem like really good friends. Will it affect the fight?

I see them both cheering each other on in their fights and in interviews they both said they are really relly good friends and hang out with each other all the time. They wont want to hurt each other so are we going to get a stand off. I know with their styles it wouldnt be a war anyway but its not going to be intense or fought with passion.

    J. C. Chavez vs. J. L. Ramirez?

    They're not Mexican, admittedly.

Both professionals, both want to win...and if I'm correct...Dirrell needs to win if he is to progress?
They'll put friendship aside for this bout.

Gatti and Ward were good friends but I'm not sure if it was during the trilogy. I don't think it'll affect them because when a boxer looks across the corner before the bell rings they see an opponent, not a friend.

Also i reckon the will probably have a deeper mutual respect after the fight.. If their fights have no controversies, of course.

When Dirrell fought Abraham, Ward was sitting next to Dirrell's brother cheering him on. They're very tight.

Only during the lead up...they'll be surprisingly civil because they like each other. But when the bell rings, they'll remember that they are professionals.

They both in their primes and want the world's attention and they know what's at stake. Inside the ring it's all business. After the fight they can go play basketball together like Floyd does with his friends.
