Stage 2 was a cakewalk for Ward and subsequently a disaster for Green. However, stage 3 will be much different for both guys. Ward is one of the most versatile fighters out there. He seems to have the ability to adapt to any stlye. Dirrell will be a tough outing though. Ward's going to have to be at his best. Maybe he'll win, maybe he won't. However, I believe Dirrell will prove to be the toughest challenge out there for Ward in this tournemant and maybe at 168 overall. As far as Allan Green, he has nowhere to go but up. It's good news and bad news for him. The bad news is that Ward exposed him as a fighter who has trouble dealing with pressure, and who can't get off that terrific left hook when he's being crowded. The good news is that Kessler has no interest in fighting Green on the inside. Green won't have to fight going backwards much, and will have plenty of opportunities to get off his left hook. I'm not saying Green will win, but he won't get steamrolled like he did against Ward either.
He won't get steamrolled Mikkel fights clean and on the outside, but I guess he will get (T)KO'd by Kessler. He's just not 'Super Six Material', what many already feared when he entered the tournament.
The Viking Warrior will consign that journeyman bum Allan Green to ESPN Friday Night Fights, feeding off the scraps against roly-poly blown up Middleweights. That's where where he belongs. :rofl:rofl It's irrefutable.
Green vs Froch > Froch with UD or TKO. Green vs Abraham > Abraham with TKO or KO. Like I said, Green isn't on S6 level!
I wouldn't pick Green to beat anyone in the Super 6. However, I don't think anyone else in the tournament can completely take Green out of his game like Ward did.
Abraham won't have to, if Green fights him like he fought Ward, he won't see the second half of the fight. Kessler, Dirrell and Froch also would have most likely KO's the version of Green that showed up against Ward. As skilled as Ward is, he is behind everyone else in the super 6 in terms of power.
Kessler batters him Andrade style except he gets the stop Ward is in for a tough one unless AA knocked something loose
That's what people don't seem to get. How these guys look has to do with their opponent. Green would fight different against Abraham than he did against Ward.
Yeah, after what I saw Saturday, I don't see Green doing anything in this tournament other than losing.
I think you may be wrong considering that Kessler DID in fact bring the fight to Froch. Froch had the reach, height, and better jab of the two. If Kessler stayed on the outside, Froch would have had an easy time with him. His only hope was to bring the fight right too Froch with his ineffective aggression and win a contraversial decision. What makes you think he won't bring the fight to his bigger, longer, adversary? You honestly think Kessler can deal with Green on the outside? He didn't look very good against Froch when he wasn't bringing the fight to him, and who has Kessler fought that resembles Green other than perhaps Froch?
