Ward and Kov: The fans dream fight!

    This is a good fight for these two reasons. I won't go into detail until the fight gets close, but I'll throw these Golden nuggets at you.


    The glaring flaws of both fighters:

    Kov can't fight inside.

    Ward lacks a natural right hand.

    -------------------------------------

    The advantages of both fighters:

    Kov can box and has true power.

    Ward can box and can fight inside or out.

    I would feel a lot more confident in Ward if he had a natural right hand. But that is his flaw. On the flip side Ward can muscle Kov around and make the fight a very rough and tough for Kov.

    Fascinating fight.

    Ward has pathetic power i use to think it was bad but after last night its even worse

    He reminds me of timothy bradley in some way

    wards lack of power here may hurt him that and the fact kovalev is a beast

    great fight

    Boxing skills pay the bills. Power has won a few big fights but thinkers always beat guys with power. History has shown this. And you're right, great fight. :good

    ward dont want to be put on the backfoot, or he maybe agnew'd. yeh he will have to get inside and do the rough stuff.

    blizzy i agree somewhat but if the power is too much to take then boxing skills wont matter

    The good thing is most of us know what needs to be applied to the other in this fight, but we don't know how it will be applied. That's what makes this fight a great fight.:lol:

    The key thing is will ward be able to man handle Kovalev?

    Hopkins said one he felt kovalev was a natural cruiserweight when he was clinching him

    if ward is unable to impose his body streignth kovalev will just walk right through him

    The main way ward can win is being ultra elucive not being there to get hit thats the only way he can win easy said then done

    Blizz is right, this one is going to be a smashing fight. I'll be cheering for Kovalev, but if anybody can find a way to win it is Ward. Looks like they both had underwhelming build up fights to the main event. I don't think they will take each other that lightly.

    Too many people making emotional predictions as this is going to be a difficult fight for both. Sure Ward lacks power but his ring IQ and understanding of the sport runs deep.

    Krusher has the type of power that can make you question if you continue with your game plan and that is scarey because if you start double guessing yourself in the ring with this guy it can end badly

    Like both guys so no excuses....The winner of this one deserves nothing but praise

    People don't appreciate stay busy fights anymore. They read into them too much like they are real title fights because they probably never saw any stay busy fights when they were young. They don't understand how to ****yze them. People dissed Kov after the Chilemba fight. Lol. People dissed Ward after last night.

    Being critical of a guy after a stay busy fight is hilarious. :lol: People can't take away from either man's latest performance. Both guys fight game will elevate come fight night.
