Dude is going to Oakland and giving up his mando to Kovalev for this fight. Open up the purse strings, JC Penney!

What do you think is a fair offer for Barrera? And do we have any idea what was being offered?

Ward exposing GGG ??? Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds ?

A former fighter who picks Smith, Murdoch, Brand as opponents and chickens out due to a swelled knee exposes the fighter who stops everybody including a bunch of top 10 opponents ???

He is undefeated and is Kovalev's mandatory. At least 300-400k.

A 20% split is 500k, assuming Ward gets his usual 2 mil guaranteed purse and an overall fight budget of 2.5 mil.

Given what Sullivan is giving up to take that fight, and that getting him in Oakland for that would be a bargain.

It's worth it to get the momentum back heading into Kovalev. I'm pretty excited for this fight if it goes through and gave Andre props for making it in the prior threads. There ain't a surplus of good fighters willing to fight in Oakland for short money. Roc shouldn't be penny wise and pound foolish now that they found someone willing to entertain the thought.

Edit: what do you consider a fair offer here?

He exposed GGG for being full of ****. Blame GGG for talking **** about wanting to fight anybody from 154-168.

Of course they meant anybody relevant, not some obscure unreliable diva who can't even get into the ring with Brand.

When Ward was still relevant, HBO offered him to fight Golovkin, and he chickened out.
