Golovkin has to ''dare to be great'' for me to rank him down the line as an ATG.


He's not obligated to fight Ward, no. But fighting guys like Murray, Rubio, Monroe Jr, Proksa, Adama, Ishida, Stevens, and Macklin does nothing for his legacy.

Even a Cotto fight does nothing for his legacy because he's not a true middleweight but holds a middleweight title.

If he goes up 8 pounds to fight Ward an elite fighter then i'd have respect for him whether he wins or loses.

You're an idiot. Team GGG already offered Golden Boy the fight and they turned it down claiming "Lemieux must fight his mandatory." Team GGG then asked the IBF if they would allow GGG to come before Lemiuex's mandatory. The IBF consented and yet Golden Boy replied that Lemieux will fight his mandatory anyway, so you've got it backward, as you do most things.
