Ward-Bute = Best P4P fight in 2012 ?

Yes if Bute beats Froch this is best fight, if we dont get Floyd-Pac.

 

Bute-Froch is a two fight contract, they fight in Nottingham and then in Canada later in the year.

So unless Bute obliterates Froch forcing him into a scenario in which he does not want to fight him again Bute-Ward does not happen this year.

 

There will be a rematch only if Froch comes out victorious of their first fight

Better is a vague qualifier.

Ward is more well rounded, more skilled defensively, stronger on the inside, has more fluid footwork and is a tad quicker than Bute... IMO.

like Pacman vs Marquez 4 or Chris John vs Orlando Salido or
Guerrero vs Gamboa

I hope that Ward will take the fight against Bute in Vegas / N.Y and won't put that bull**** condition like : "Bute has to prove himself against Andre Dirrell" .

 

Ward is supposed to have one more fight on his Showtime contract. He doesn't have a fight planned yet probably because Showtime said no to all the names he gave them (except maybe for Martinez). I know Showtime had to give the permission to Bute to make another fight outside his contract. If Ward has the same style of contract, that means he cannot try to go to HBO before fighting his last one on Showtime. Ward may be forced to face Bute. Well, at least I hope so.
