It's a little odd that Showtime apparently pays 900K+600K = 1½M for the s6 final while at the same time they pay Bute 2M per fight. Something is not right here.

They just didn't figure Bute out! In my opinion they are ducking him for the time being!

 

I dont know about that, but what I know is 5k attendance probably just paid for the venue and the organization of the event itself. So Showtime money and UK tv money is the only thing paying for all the same stuff I already told you in my other thread.

Not even 6K people showed up for the S6 final.

If Kessler was getting over 2M per S6 fight, Showtime fees might be correlated to drawing power at the gate.

 

Sauerland told me the Ibox offer was so low that he asked them if they where interested in a counter. They where not and Sauerland understood that completely. Interbox is a new player just like he was back when Sven Ottke was a champion.

The attendance was quite dissapointing. Terrible.

There was also television money from Germany and Scandinavia as ARD and Viasat was part of the tournament.

I cannot see the logic in showtime money being correlated to the gate. The only thing that matters to them are viewers. It is possible, but IMO not likely, that Bute fighting a clubfighter attracts more viewers than the hyped up final of the supersix tournament.

Why does bute need to fight anybody when he can fight ward? Is it not that the top guys are supposed tO fight each other ?
