Ward by stoppage (Whenever it happens)

Shame that the super 6 final is off. Been looking forward to it.

On the subject though. bookies have got Ward by stoppage as high as 12/1. Is it me or is this too wide?

If Ward comes at Froch with the same strategy he used against Kessler. Agressive, pushing forward, closing the distance. Is it not more likely than 7-8% he can get a stoppage?

Ward can probably win this fight with speed and movement on the outside. But Froch likes a bit of room to get his shots off, if you push him back and close the distance, it may well take away most of his offence.

Add in Frochs bad defence to right hands, minus his iron jaw....12/1 seems too wide.

Any thought on the style match up, and what tactics either fighter may use come fight night (2012?)

Ward isn't a hard puncher, isn't really given to taken risks or pressing the point, and hasn't stopped a world-class opponent. Even with Froch's lazy defence, I can't see Ward running the risk of taking a shot on his own (shaky) chin.

No, the odds are about right based on past form.

Blatant headbutts were a major factor in that fight, and I don't think those sort of tactics would work against Froch.

Ward will be happy to win on points he knows this will be the hardest and roughest fight he will have and that's after fighting Bika!.

I think the cobra may well outbox ward, but my worry is I don't think he would get a decision.

I think Froch believes Ward has got pillow hands and that he can walk through anything he throws.

    BIG MISTAKE.

Ward may not be a big puncher but he will definitely get Carls respect.Neither guy in the final is a big puncher though.

Not been funny but the only way Ward stops Froch is if he headbutts him, cuts him bad and it has to be stopped. Ward can't break Froch's will and make him quit, just will not happen. Froch is a totally different proposition in terms of mental toughness, than Ward will have ever faced before.

But Jermain Taylor had him down and I think Dirrell hurt him briefly aswell.I think those odds are too wide.

Not a chance in hell that Ward stops Froch. You get some money on it if you disagree.
Ward by decision is where my money would go if i was stupid enough to gamble.

True, but he never looked like been stopped or anything close to it either. I'm not saying Ward cant beat Froch on points, he can. But i don't think he will stop Froch.

I expect Ward to win, I think he's brilliant. I have a lot of respect for Froch, he capitalises on his abilities through his testicular fortitude, a warrior. Hope this fights is back on asap

Although I don't see a stoppage myself, 12-1 is a bit high imo.
You never know what might happen, Froch pulls a muscle, its stopped on a cut that the ref which the ref wrongly doesn't call a headbutt.
I rewatched the Johnson fight last week and I'm giving Froch more of a chance than I first thought now. (60/40 now)

Ward got the cut from practising headbutts...Gtfo
hes not used to butting tall guys like Froch
so in sparring he needed to put in a little extra pop on the full bodied jumping headbutts
sadly this caused a scratch on his precious forehead so
the final everyones been preparing for needs to be prolonged another month
at least... ยด;.;.` lol , ducking poser ward

Not a chance in hell Ward stops Carl

Obviously the smart money would be to go with a Ward Decision

But Froch is a god so he will find a way to win the fight.

    Froch aint a G. Hes a GG

And he aint showing no ass.
