Bhop wasn't going to get the decision because of politics. The money men were behind and invested in calzaghe at the time because of his 0 record. Bhop even dropped him in the first ****ing round and scored enough rounds to at least get the draw Like I said, you dumb brits will watch your fighter get dropped in every round 5 times, but yet if they score a dodgy decision, you think they're a monster. Look ricky burns stole a win against Beltran, yet some dumb fans still think he's some beast, which proves my point. Just another paper champ, the real boxing fans know who won those fights. Not the plastic fair-weather ones who only turn up when the fighter is from their neck of the woods.
How cliche, and yet you ain't brought up nothing to counter what I said. You're a dumb brit fcuk who just sees what they want to see. I ain't even a big bhop fan but he whooped you're boys ass and didn't even break a sweat. Calslappy got a cooked decision and you want to pretend his ***** slaps were enough to win even though bhop landed the more meaningful punches ALL night and even knocked down that glass chinned brit ******* down. why don't you go and tan yourself until you get cancer, that's all you brits are good for
This content is protected . I understand that Hopkins is an American legend that people want to see as an iconic figure. America love a reformist and Hopkins as a former armed robber turned world champ is just the story that wins Americas hearts but... This content is protected 1. Calzaghe landed more than 100 punches than Hopkins throughout the fight. 2. Contrary to what people want to believe, Calzaghe also made Hopkins miss more 3. All round punch percentages, Calzaghe finished ahead of Hopkins 4. Calzaghe outlanded Hopkins in every round 5. A Byrd who scored for Hopkins - Type in Adalaide Byrd in Google and see what comes up for yourself, still here are some little things for you to look at a. A Byrd was the only judge out of the 3 scoring judges that had Mack ahead against Cloud b. The K Pavlik - A Lopez fight was scored 98-92, 99-91 by the other 2 judges, A Byrd scored it 95-95 c. A Byrd was one of the judges that had Morales a 4 point loser against Maidana d. In the S Aydin vs S Ouali fight, the other 2 judges scored clearly for Aydin. Byrd scored for Ouali e. The J Almaraz/C Tyler fight was scored a Maj-Dec all because of one judge, guess which? A Byrd f. The A DeMarco/J Reyes fight was a SD. Guess who the odd judge out was? A Byrd. g. The R Torres - M Arnaoutis fight was a close fight, a point either way to 2 judges but a wide result scored by Byrd h. In the A Pryor Jr/D Stanislavjevic SD, guess who the odd judge out was? You guessed it... A Byrd i. The W Ferguson/J Lopez SD, guess who the odd judge out was? You guessed it... A Byrd I think thats enough. Remember the other 2 judges scored clearly for Calzaghe 6. Calzaghe beat Hopkins in America, at a new weight with 3 American judges and Cortez as ref. 7. Calzaghe scored at that time the single highest score card against Hopkins ever 116-111. 8. The 2 judges that scored for Calzaghe agreed on 9 of the rounds 9. Calzaghe landed more on Hopkins than anyone ever. Now I know there will be a flood of people coming on here noting Hopkins scoring a flash KD in the first round, and I agree that Hopkins did win a few rounds even when he didnt land as often, but people are mad if they think Calzaghe won on workrate, Calzaghe won because he was able to land his left more often than Hopkins could land his right. Calzaghe finished the stronger and took away the moments Hopkins likes down the stretch. Other thoughts, If Hopkins thought he was winning, do you think he would have been looking for time out and would bother trying to get points deducted off of Calzaghe, of course he wouldnt, Hopkins knew he was losing. What I do note is that nobody seems to mind Hopkins lost to Taylor. In the first Hopkins/Taylor fight, Jermaine was badly hurt and Hopkins looked the stronger at the end, yet it seems to upset alot of these people that Calzaghe beat Hopkins. Appears very biased. 46-0
.... hide your medication? For sure, its amusing to see you rattle on without it. all his defences have been primes or close to primes unless your name is baileyboy (see below for proof). There are no 40something title fights on Wards resume, except perhaps when he was climbing the ladder as a young man the way everyone normally does (except Joe Cal who fights them as his highest achievement).
Ward hasn't done ****. Jc without a doubt over king of headbutts. These fans who are in love with the Floyds and the Wards for what? Handpicking fighters. Jc was a cherry picker but he was undefeated after almost 50 fights. Ward has a long way to go.
Ward is an excellent boxer. I think he's envious of the fact that Joe Calzaghe could fill arenas and have huge paydays, when he can't seem to catch a break at all.
Hopkins only has himself to blame for the loss. Not only did he make that stupid "I'll never lose to a white-boy" comment before the fight and thus lose any of the neutrals sympathy but he barely did anything beyond the 4th round but spoil. You cant beat Calzaghe or any high-out-put pressure puncher by spoiling for two thirds of a fight, you've actually got to take the pace away from them and set it yourself. Hopkins failed to do that and Calzaghe won rounds by being the more active participant who was actually trying to fight. As for the official result, it was close enough to justify a draw but the case can be made that either man deserved to win it.
Well, as much as i hate to say it... I reckon a 'prime' Calzaghe fighting in a fair fight with a fair ref, would lose to Ward. No way would those pitter patter 'workrate' combinations bother Ward. Ward is incredibly savvy, and even with a fair ref forbidding him to use his head, he still has the skillset to beat Joe. Just my opinion.
IS Joe Calzaghe 40 already? I expect he'll duly be calling out cherrypicked 50ssomethings now. Watch your phone, Gerard McClellan. And get ready Marvin Hagler, you are ready for Sir Joe when you turn 60. but yeah obviously Cowardzaghe is not going to fight someone when hes the old one, because that's exactly NOT what his track record dictates. The evidence is there courtesy of JC's resume.
