The lacy calzaghe i think could beat him now though its a different game ward is very classy, he didnt fight dawson because he couldnt draw 5000 to fill the joint in vegas, and would of completely taken him apart at the time..

oh WOW..he beat a ****ing junior middleight Winky Wright?? STFU :rofl

clearly he kicks tarvers ass and that was a legit big deal....but the man is 43 years old and because he had 1 great last hurrah doesnt mean he has a streak of 10 left in him just like it! wtf dont you get about that dumb ass?
mosley beat the **** out of margarito as a shot past his prime fighter but got shut out by the real champ in his next fight and hasnt WON SINCE.....but dumb ****s like you probably thought SSM had a great shot at winning....(and you even picked him to beat Canelo after all that!!)
and rating are political and mean absolute ****!! BOXREC has Hopkins as the #1 guy at 175 now? wtf does that mean? you seem like you had a little sense at one time, but you have gone full ****** latley , congrats hypocritical ******* :hi:

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

I've got plenty of sense. Try this one...

Hopkins beats Tarver the number one ranked LHW in the world.

Hopkins beats Winky Wright, a guy who was under sized.

Hopkins is in all P4P lists and seen as rightful LHW king.

Joe Calzaghe is also winding down.

Joe Calzaghe moves up from SMW to LHW to fight Hopkins.

Joe Calzaghe makes his U.S debut against one of the best fighters in the world.

    Joe Calzaghe wins.

Hopkins then goes on to beat Pavlik, Ornelas, Jones, he then draws and beats Jean Pascal to regain a world title. Then at 47, as opposed to 43 (when he fought Calzaghe) he is at least competitive with Chad Dawson.

Yeah, Hopkins was at the end of the road when he fought Calzaghe. :patsch

he wasnt at the end but calzaghe waited until both jones and hopkins lost their titles and hit their 40's before taking them on

fits with his career path, thats where he loses major league credibility

but the hopkins win is still his best win

The end of Hopkins road has been long. Think though: Calzaghe won't be as old as Hopkins was in their fight until 2015.

Hopkins has been an old man winning on guile and superior residual skill for a long time now.

Got to pick Ward at this stage.

Would like see Calzaghe pull it off though the back tracking would be the greatest in the history of planet Earh.

    Yes sir.

Calzaghe was also at the end of his own road. Thus him getting dropped in the final round of both his final fights.

My point is that people make reference to Calzaghe fighting an 'old' Hopkins, when the fact is that Joe was on a late stage of his own time line.

I'd still back Calzaghe to beat Ward. Once he did, the Ward hype train would derail into a fruit and vegatable stall just like Lacy's did. Ward is now a product of the huge american hype train, just like chad dawson used to be. 5 years from now, the opinion on ward will be far different to what it is today.

You still trying to rewrite history. Calzaghe didnt wait, they didnt want to fight him. Its very documented how Hopkins backed out. Forget it happend? Doesnt suit your agenda, and guess what Dawson has made a career of fighting 40 year olds and he wasnt at the end of his career like Calzaghe

joe would still beat Ward, these American hypejobs never learn.

Wards only good win was against a slow as **** Froch, and that was a struggle.

Calzaghe was undefeated, Wards already lost to Boone, and scraped past a ruined Bika.

Joe smashed a prime Hopkins who went on to his best wins post Calzaghe, Joe was brittle boned, bloated and shot too.

I am sick of Wards cherry picking, and this is another example, calling out a long time retired old legend:patsch:patsch
