Ward says that the networks and media allow these guys to be hyped while not having to prove themselves by fighting the best competition.

Says they he has been trying to get a fight but has received no responses or offers since last year.

The issue I have with Ward and Martinez are the same. These guys are talented but are always calling out smaller fighters. Then they sit around and cry that they are being avoided. You dont say, you are calling out pac and floyd but when fighters in higher weight classes clamor for a fight they fall on deaf ears.

I like Ward, but does he know how fortunate he was that he was in a tournament where he was pretty much guaranteed to fight the best? Imagine if there was something like that for every division where the best 6 would square off. It's not often there is something like that. Then there wouldn't be talk of this guy not fighting that guy or somebody having a **** resume. Who knows where Ward would be right now if he didn't have the chance to show his skills in that tournament.

The Super6 was actually had Kessler and Abraham as the favourites going into the tournament.
Ain't that a blip, to have Kessler favoured over Froch, Dirrell, and Ward.

I know who was the favorite but that's besides the point. He got to where he was because of the tourney. It would've been much harder to negotiate each of those fights on their own. I'm glad that tournament happened though because it let us see just how good he really is. Look how hard it is for some guys to get fights because of so and so or this and that. It sucks but it's the only thing I have "against" Ward.

You misunderstood him - he said he told Goosen to get him a fight, and Goosen hasnt delivered. Ward cant talk with other camps directly.

He did complain about other guys getting the attention, and I can kind of understand his sour grapes but its not the other fighters fault or problem. If he manages to separate from Goosen and get someone who wants to promote him, then he will start getting fights.

I find it odd that people who come across as Ward fans want to blame other fighters for Wards situation when said situation is clearly the result of his promotional issues. Which is partially Wards fault for re-signing with Goosen, and partially Goosens fault for being a crappy promoter.

Ward could have a fight tomorrow with Kovalev at 175 if he wanted it.

And it's becoming hypocritical of Ward to say fighters have to earn their hype when his own hype has cooled off. It's been a couple years since the S6, and he's had two fights since then, one against a weight drained Chad Dawson and a stinker with La Bomba. Lets not forget either he wanted to fight Caleb Traux or Dimtri Sartison instead.
