They won't go back on it, it'd be a REALLY bad look on them, they won't go to such lengths.

if you say so chief, I know the wbc are corrupt as hell and heavily favour American and Mexican fighters ,which basically explains how bambi wilder has a belt lmfao.

but the bottom line is cotto had to pay ggg a high 6 figure sum for the cotto/canelo fight to even go ahead. The wbc president then declared that the winner will have to face ggg straight away or be stripped. That's a definitive statement and impossible to back out of, im also sure ggg has got some sort of legal gaurentee on this. Either he fights canelo next, canelo drops the belt and he gets it or the wbc pull some bull.**** and they can sue them

I know its pretty impossible at this stage for them to go back on there word without losing what ever little credibitly they had left. GGG already got paid a lot of step aside money for canelo/cotto to go ahead

We will see about that. I don't think the WBC wants to lose credibility. And If they ignore GGGs mandatory it can easily be settled in court.

There is no bigger fight for Canelo after Cotto than a GGG fight. There won't be a rematch because Cotto won't want one after he takes his beating.

GGG has better things to do than to balloon to LHW to beat an irrelevant b-side like Ward for peanuts

you GGG haters wish he'd do that, just to see him go the Roy Jones way

move up a lot in weight, then move down again and become a shadow of your former self like RJJ did

GGG has unfinished business at MW and he shouldnt move until he gets he deserved lineal mw championship or until Ward brings real $$$$$, and not just his petty delusional diva demands

Exactly, it'd be pretty much outright admitting they're totally corrupt and don't give a single ****. I know they are but there's limits lol.

You think the WBC cares? If Canelo wins he can do a victory tour and make them and the networks big money. I also think Canelo will try to fight in Azteca Stadium in Mexico next like JCC did. I don't think people understand the magnitude of this fight for the WBC and boxing.:deal Cotto-Canelo fight is a big deal it's going to be a classic Mex-PR rivalry fight. Mexico and the WBC are desperately looking for the next JCC and Canelo is the best thing since sliced bread to them.:deal

You're wrong lol. The only reason Canelo is fighting for the belt is because GGG agreed to step aside. With the guarantee he gets the winner, or the belt. Pay attention.

It's obvious Ward is unwilling to compromise despite being on the B-side. Turning a fight down and not agreeing to demands are 2 separate things. They are not in the same division certain conditions have to be met.

Ward wants GGG to move to 168, where he is giving up advantages in weight, height, reach and speed and probably a favorable split. GGG's team will probably make the fight at a negotiated weight, but Ward probably isn't willing to do that.

When GGG unifies that Middleweight division, he'll be more ready to move up to 168, but in the mean time, if Ward wants the fight, he has to make an offer that's more enticing than the winner of Cotto/Alvarez, which is being lined up if GGG beats Lemieux.

For a man who says he is not playing these "media" games, he is surprisingly vocal.
