This was a very good boxing match by both men, no doubt fight of the year. After seeing the fight over again, Kovalev definitely deserved the win in this fight. The knock down and his lead in the first half of the fight should have been enough to get him a clear, but very close win.
I was very impressed by Ward, who after the knock down, found a way to adjust and make this a close fight. I really believed Kovalev had the fight won after the second round but Ward, to his credit, changed his style and Kovalev could not finish him nor find the early success he had in the beginning.

In the end, just like any other sport, you could win a basketball game by one point ex. 95-94 and it's a clear win. Very close, but a clear win. We all know boxing is corrupt and the decision was given to Ward and that is that.

In a rematch, Ward will win. I just think that he can make better adjustments and has lots of tricks up his sleeve to actually win, convincingly in a rematch.
