On his last fight(vs Escobedo), he originally was to receive $300K. Of course, he forfeited at least 60k of that.

That original amount was almost surely his biggest payday, as that was the first time he headlined an HBO card.

 

Not many people would take the risk Dawson is with all he has to lose. He could have hung around for an easy fight like Kessler or Bute.

 

If I'm not mistaken he has openly talked about receiving million $ purses. Managed by Al Haymon and golden boy too.
