All boxing cards during the fall will suffer domestically because of football. 1.3 million is a good start, especially because HBO spent very little developing Ward, Showtime did all the work.

Most of the most-watched fight cards happen during the spring and summer, when there is no football competing for male viewers, who obviously make up the most of both sports' viewers.

i dont understand how they get their numbers.

they dont know how many people are each room watching.

i bet if you doubled that 1.3 number, it would be more accurate.

same with ppv's, maybe one person will buy it, and invite 10 guys around to watch it, that goes down as 1 viewer in these stats dont they,

    i just dont understand

It's interesting how much has changed in boxing. It's a bit like a bad boxer nowadays winning a world title and being called "good". When in yester year they would be just another fighter and wouldn't even sniff a world title. My point being, it's a bit like these numbers. We don't have to go back all that far, just about 5 years ago or so, these numbers would have been the end of times. Nowadays, they are considered good. Just an interesting observation on how boxing has changed or evolved, if you will, over the years.

lol, im not sure the purposefulness in comparing the fanship between the US and Romania but i'll throw out a similar useless assumption...

Im going to assume that if Romania had a basket-weaving champion, at least 500k Romanians would watch that too...

Go ahead and cry ****, i dont give a ****ing damn lol
