As much as I like both guys, especially Ward, you are likely right. The only way this fight has fireworks is if Andre decides pushing the pace is the best way to get Dawson out of his comfort zone and brings the fight on the inside. That doesn't mean it won't be a good fight featuring incredible skill and technique, though.
It will be a snoozefest in terms of crossover appeal, but if you're a big fan of chess you want to see the best players really having to think about it,just like if you're a hardcore boxing fan,the nuances and strategies that should be on show with these two should be very appealing.
That's what I am thinking. However, look at Wright-Taylor. Two of the least visually appealing fighters gave us some reasonable action for 12 rounds.
It might not be action packed in fact i'm almost certain it wont be but it will be a pretty even technical fight with great boxing skill on display, i'm looking forward to it.
Snoozefest for casual fans, good fight to watch for hardcore fans. Atleast I hope I'm right. Last time is said this I was wrong.. (Bradley vs Alexander). Demarco vs Molina will save the night if this happens though.
It would be a lot better if Dawson could actually KO people and was aggressive. He poses very little threat in this fight because his ring IQ is a few levels below and has mental lapses in the ring.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I disagree with it being a boring fight...its gonna be a chess match with 2 skilled fighters...From a techinal standpoint, this is a must see bout...Boxing isnt about Brawling and standing toe to toe all the time.
Exactly. I'm not having any casual fans over to watch this card, but will probably enjoy the hell out of it. September 15th is a better night to let the casuals come over.
