Ward-DeGale, why is this not being talked about?

    Anyone else think it's a really good fight? I don't think Ward makes the easy work of DeGale that other people do, I can see DeGale posing him problems for sure.

    I don't think he makes easy work of him but I think he beats him like 8-4 or 9-3. DeGale is pretty underrated around here.

    This is the #1 fight for Ward at 168 right now. This ****ing feuding between promoters is ruining boxing! Jay-Z and Haymon won't do business because of some garbage with Beyonce years ago, Haymon won't do business with Bob because Bob is suing him, this **** is ridiculous. Ward and Degale need to fight so Andre can re-establish himself as relevant and the #1 168 pounder.

    Why talk about a fight that's not going to happen anytime soon against a smaller fighter when there's a perfectly good fight at his own weight?

    DeGale looks like the type who'd fight anyone, so I doubt he'd "duck" Ward.

    The only problem is as Smoking Man says the promotional issues, but until I know the situation fully I've not resigned myself from it happening, they should at least try, it'd be a good fight for both guys.

    Totally, while Ward is very good beating the basic/slugger types, I think the better boxers like Dirrell and DeGale will cause him problems.

    It's a fight I'd like to see, both gold medal winning Olympians and both with a title. I think DeGale in terms of style gives Ward the most difficulty out of the top fighters at super middle, he may make it competitive and win a few rounds.

    It's going to come down to money and location. Ward made $2 million in his last 2 fights despite poor ratings, DeGale made $1.55 million against Dirrell. Both men will want more for a unification. Is there enough interest in this fight for a big enough purse for both to make it worthwhile?

    Usually yes but there are exceptions, some boxers do better against other boxers and less so against sluggers.

    nobody is talking about it because ward beats him very easily

    listen..i know some people are hyped on degale because he barely beat andre dirrell...it was a good win for degale but he should have never let dirrell back in the fight...and lets face....pre abraham dirrell wipes the floor with degale.....

    Why talk about a fight that can't happen? The day Haymon signed Degale, immediately took Ward out of the equation since he is with a promotion that doesn't do business with Haymon.

    Ward beats him if somehow if the fight can happen, which I do not see unless Ward one day signs with Haymon.
