Ward did not put a clinic on against Froch at all. Just rewatched

I did score it a bit closer than most on here. I think I had it 116-112. But that was largely because Ward took his foot off the gas toward the end. Froch was able to bag some rounds in the late stages and turn a blow out into a closer fight than it would otherwise be. Some of Ward letting up can probably be attributed to the broken hand he had going in.

I've watched Ward/Froch at least 5 times. I thought Froch won 2 or 3 rounds, but it was one of those fights that was more competitive than the score cards might make you believe. Over the years, Darnell Boone, Sakio Bika, and Carl Froch have exposed numerous weaknesses and flaws that people refuse to admit that Ward has.

 

I'm sure the hand problem played a roll, but Ward was hurt and exhausted. I've watched the fight about five times, and in my opinion, someone with better fundamentals and a bit more stamina than Froch would have put Andre's lights out.

it was not a clinic at all, people who say that are those who have it in their mind that ward is some sort of technical wizard.

he builled froch. he was stronger than froch and pushed him around, he got his left hook going well. I am a big froch fan but only gave him 3 rounds (11, 12 & i think 5 or maybe 3, dont remember).

The only thing I can say for Froch is that he never stopped trying and in the last 2 rounds, either ward was crusing or ward was tried and Froch took those rounds.

No idea about the broken hand thing, I just do not really believe it. I know his hands were swollen but that happens to many fighters. I think his camp might be trying to make excuses for possible poor stanima issues.
