I think its comical and embarrassing that cotto is fighting someone the guy he should be fighting dispatched in 3 rounds, but Geale isnt exactly a soft touch.

He's an ATG in that regard, maybe even TBE.

To be fair to him, ''TBE'' is arguably an even stronger candidate for being TBE in that regard.

I totally didn't get that :huh

When it comes to Wards negative attitude, I try to think of any other modern, world level boxer who compares, but it's not evident who it would be. Had David Haye not submitted to the Klitschko brothers slave contract, in order to walk the walk, I guess he'd be a candidate.

You don't think Floyd has always had a massive victim complex too? ''Everyone's got it in for me.. poor me I'm so hard done by'' etc.

And besides I was trying to be fair to Dre, even though I cringe everytime his lips start moving. lol

Isn't that true of every great fighter who is more disliked than liked?

Hopkins scores high points in that regard.

You could even say the same for Marquez technically...

Floyd brings most of the sh*t he gets on himself. Don't play the heel and then cry that people don't like you.

He sure has, but the thing with Floyd is that he brings the boxing community one megafight after the other. I know people complain about his career moves, but he has consistently fought top level guys. Ward avoids the big fights AND complains about how he is treated unfairly. It's the combo that's hard to surpass.

B-Hop for sure scores very high. Floyd and B-Hop are two of Ward's biggest idols and inspirations.

Marquez I've only really heard moan about decisions going against him and stuff like that. But then again I've not seen half as many interviews of his as I have the others.

But he doesn't. He always acknowledges "the haters" and his go-to phrase at press conferences that he makes a big deal of toward media and fans alike is; "love me or hate me, you all keep me relevant."

He's more than aware of that.

He has pulled the "I'm black, rich, and loud" card as to why he thinks people hate him, but Bernard Hopkins has been saying that his whole career. Jack Johnson did the same a century ago (although it's tough to ignore the cultural change that has happened since then; Johnson was 100% right).

Marquez complains about every decision he hasn't won, spare for Mayweather fight, and even wrote an autobiography titled "I Beat Pacquiao Three Times" (this was right before their fourth).

Does that not qualify? Or are we talking about fighters specifically questioning their lack of fan support? In that case, Marquez is a no.

Yes, more about that later and how everyone is out to get them and they're such poor victims.

Didn't know that about Marquez's autobiography. lol
