Let's face it, though. When the tournament was drawn up, there were a significant # of people, maybe the majority of people, that would have had this fight as an afterthought. The two young, inexperienced Americans battling for 5th place. But how things have changed so quickly. If Ward disposes of Green impressively, then this is a huge fight, featuring probably the two best fighters in the tournament. Depending on how things go prior to this fight, I may find myself rooting for Dirrell, if only to lock up a place in the semis, where he belongs.

I think Ward out trick\out point my boy dirrell though.

Apparently they are squabbling over the venue. I hope they just STOP IT, and settle on a neutral site. I think Ward will blow through Green with relative ease. I can't imagine Green standing up to Son of Goat and his despicable tactics. Dirrell/Ward looks like a helluva good fight right now.
Agreed, these are the top two fighters in the tourney, with Abe coming 3rd. Dirrell showed up immature to the Froch bout, and still managed to dominate him. Revisionist history is being very kind to Froch, way too kind actually. If the two of these don't make it to the semis, it would be disappointing, since that could give us awesome rematches of Dirrell/Abe and Dirrell/Ward. Kick ass.
Can't wait for this one. Ward-Dirrell and Alexander-Bradley are my two most desired all American fights right now. Hopefully all 4 guys will have great futures and fight many great fights like De La hOya/Hopkins/Mosley etc in the past
Ward v Dirrell? :-( God, I couldn't think of anything worse. Anyway, Green will wipe out the overrated Ward and become the new favourite with the boards seeing as the same people appear to change their minds about who is going to win the whole thing after every fight:hey
I feel vindicated for tipping Ward and Dirrell to surprise everyone and do damn well in the tournament
I don't think it is THAT bad, but I doubt many will lose sleep over it. I just hope it will be better attended than the previous two bouts in the states. It also means that it should be at someone's backyard. Say, Dirrell's as Ward will have the second consecutive home match.
Green can HIT! Ward is a classy boxer/puncher with great skill. I dunno whoz gonna take it. I'm bias wit Andre SOG Ward bcuz he's from da Bay Area. I think AW can outbox AG, but dats easier said than done when u have a Monster Puncher n front of u. Dirrell nd Ward would b VERY interesting.
