even before the tournament i always thought dirrell was a better fighter then ward...i wondered why ward was getting the praise as a young upcoming fighter and dirrell was kinda just 'the other andre', when i saw a better fighter in dirrell...does dirrells brother still fight? i thought he was going to be even better then andre before he got sick...

until the Miranda fight, Dirrell was the one seen as the next big thing and Ward was just "the other Andre" but I always thought Ward was better.

I think Dirrell is the better boxer but Ward hits harder

I am loving this matchup, this will showcase some great boxing and i hope, i really hope, that Dirrell is 100% going into this fight, you just never know how young, green fighters will react from experiencing situations like this last one.

I hope hes able to regroup, go in there 100% and put a whooping on Ward. I will be studying the fight a bit more in depth as it draws near but as of right now im giving a 100% Dirrell a very good shot at beating Ward although i recognise Ward will be the favorite, i think Dirrell can def beat him.

u sure? i thought it was the other way around, ward was the gold medalist and the more decorated amateur then dirrell...also dirrell had a few poor performances and people were saying his defense was leaky and he was a runner and he didnt have that killer instinct...i could be wrong tho.

Ward has owned Dirrell during sparring in the past (yes, I know, it's only sparring). Though both have improved by leaps and bounds since their amateur days, I'd say Dirrell has improved a bit more. Then again, Dirrell is the one who had more to improve on. Dirrell has had the raw physical talent to beat anybody in the Super Six since before it began, but Dirrell has been learning on the job and seems to have improved most since it began. Long story short: Dirrell has the slight edge in several categories, but Ward is by far the smarter, and much trickier, fighter. Combine that ring IQ with his conditioning (the best in boxing, if you disagree, you just don't know) and Ward cruises to a unanimous decision victory.

Why do you say his conditioning is the best in boxing?

Because I've never seen him winded, or show any signs of it whatsoever. Not only did he go 12 rounds EASILY against Miranda and 11 rounds EASILY against Kessler, but during training he rotates 3-4 sparring partners through 12 rounds against fighters who are no less skilled or conditioned than any of his professional opponents so far (and again, hardly winded when it's over). Ward has the very best to advise him on conditioning and nutrition as well. He fights the 12th round just like he fights the 1st. Aside from the conditioning, he paces himself very well. Floyd Mayweather's conditioning is also top-notch, and I see it as very comparable, except Ward's 7 years younger than Floyd.
