Just saw these numbers floating around twitter. Further proof that Ward is the bigger star vs lil G.:happy Bumlovkin and his inbred fans are complete scum.:deal Edit: Just off by a zero but everything else is still true!!!. Lil G is a bum.
It is not Ward, it is Barrera and his Cuban compatriots rooting for Barrera after Obama visit on Cuba and his infamous shoulder shake. Just another proof that even noone as Barrera is a bigger star than Ward. Ward had 300K from BET, the other people are Barerra's Cuban compatriots.
Ward is a name no doubt, GGG has the higher fan base at this moment however. Ward needs to get his momentum back, had a good win this weekend and I personally see him winning twice more before the year is out and ending the year P4P#1. Thats when he can cash in.
Those are solid ratings. Surely they'll be better than GGG vs Wade lol. Abel Sanchez needs to keep quiet.
gggs fanbase is 30 dollar tickets in the upper tiers......he aint selling....hes a monthly subscription darling but the reality is....if he fought ward(im saying if he had fought him this last month like what would have happened if ggg actually wanted the fight) it would have been a big fight....ward is wellllll known in the game.....the guy was inactive for some time and only fought paul smith yet was right back in the top 5-6 of every p4p list already...... that whole "ward needs to become relevant again" nonsense was just another excuse and roadblock by gggs team.......the only way ward can get any bigger in the sport than he was is by beating kova...and if he beats kova you can be assured ggg will want less of ward than he already did
sanchez looks worse and worse by the day....but like i said the whole "ward needs to get relevant again" was just another excuse/roadblock....just like 164 was......nothing but chatter for ways around it
Ward is far too big for GGG if everyone looks at it subjectively. I think Ward beats Kovalev & GGG.. But I think Ward does need to become relevant again and regain the momentum he had when he cleaned out 168. 2 wins before the end of 2016 and he will be in a position where he actually calls the shots over pretty much anyone in the game.
Those are good numbers if true. Props to Ward on that. He is an awesome fighter who fans of the sweet science can really enjoy. I know a lot of fans of GGG come off as rabid maniacs with no understanding of the sport, but GGG himself deserves respect. Although he has not beaten the greatest opponents, the way he has defeated them has been pretty impressive for the most part. The idea that GGG could/would lose to Ward should bring no shame to fans of Golovkin as Ward is a great fighter. It is a moot point anyway atm as Ward is gunning for Kov and GGG is trying to unify. I don't see any reason why someone can't be a fan of both fighters. Then again, there wouldn't be as much to argue about so people will continue to have at it.
is chavez jr. too big? probably....but ggg had no problem trying to get him in the ring right? the problem isnt size...its skill....and sanchez knows it..... you cant go around trying to make fights at 168 and say youll fight anyone and then duck the **** out of a guy who has fought all, but 2, of his career fights at 168 and is recognized as the man there
good numbers. when you take on a good opponent in your first step up its always going to do well but for ward those numbers are pretty incredible
