When Holyfield kept headbutting Tyson, Tyson bit his ear off!

That billy goat headbutt was awesome. How did Kessler keep standing after that? Ward best punches were with his head, no doubt about it.

I fail to see how pointing out another fighter doing it, somehow legitimizes the use of headbutts in a boxing match.

Why would I want to try to tarnish this win? Everyone should see it for what it was. The ref was biased. Ward would clinch and hit, lead in with his head, and the ref would let him get away with it. Pretty blatant indeed. How many headbutts were in there? A competent ref would do something in that situation.

    This. :deal

Ward was the better fighter, no doubt, but you can't deny what you have just posted.

Exactly. Shows the ref bias. Tells him to step back so Ward can hit him :patsch

A foul is a foul, and ref is suppose to issues warnings, assess penalties, and if it continues, disqualify the offending fighter. Ward did more than enough to get disqualified, but that ****ing ESPN ref Jack Reiss did nothing.

you can't separate wars skillset from the fouls, he needed the fouls and the ref as well as skillset to win, or if he didn't, we will never know

Ward would have won clearly without the headbutts too. Actually I think Ward more headbutted himself out of an TKO than into a win

I can't believe the whining going on here.

I picked Kessler to win the tournament.

I have been Kessler fan for a while.

He just got his ass beat, plain and simple. He had no head movement at all, which partly contributed to the cuts. A lot of fighter duck down and then come back up without causing cuts on their opponents. However Kessler was so freaking slow tonight he kept getting the back and side of Wards head in his face. As well as striaght rights and lefts and left and right jabs.

Kessler did not win ONE round convincingly. I gave him one round, but it could have gone either way.

I knew he was doen after the 2nd round, he looked completely confused by Wards speed and suprisingly, his power, and that was before ANY cuts.

Ward landed his first vicious and clearly intentional head butt in the second round. Do you honestly believe that and the bold part above is a coincidence.

So one head but, no matter how exagerrated you make it, ends a fight for a fighter?? How soft do you think Kessler is? I was more concerned that Kessler couldn't get off, looked baffled by Wards hand speed, and was actually rocked a little by lead left. He had no head movement, didn't want to fight inside, and ate more jabs than he threw. All of that occured before the very TAME UNINTENTIONAL headbut in that round that came from the side of his head while throwing a punch.

I can't stand when fans of fighters can't admit when their fighter was bested.
