Someone does not need to be better than the other fighter to get ducked, it wasn't long ago Bradley ducked Khan. As much as I can not see a good reason for Ward to duck Bute he did act awfully weird about fighting him.

how is it weird that ward wanted bute to prove himself before getting the very best shot at SMW glory there is in this day and age?

Lol I thought the Butards had been killed off. How do they keep coming back like one shitty Twilight film after the other?

Ward is fighting a bigger, faster, stronger, slicker and tougher southpaw in Dawson for probably less money then he would make against Bute because his sole ambition is to fight the best. Ray Charles could see that, why's it so hard for these losers comprehend this?

Bute presents relatively no challenge to Ward in comparison to Dawson. Both dominate Bute. How on earth does someone like him have any fans is beyond me?

Can't believe butthurt could last this long.

Ward beat up and bloodied and apparently bullied a Viking Warrior
Ward beat up and schooled Froch
    Ward shut out Abraham
    Ward Shut out Bika

but he ducked a guy that sat out of the tournament where the real players participated , while feasting on absolute crap while defending his ibf strap . morons

While I agree with the main point you're making, Ward did not shut Bika out. In fact, Bika probably gave him a tougher test than anyone since the Super Six had started (even if that wasn't an official Super Six matchup).

He didn't 'duck' Bute, but he was no doubt reluctant to face him. However, it's unfair because if Bute had beaten Froch, then I think Ward would have faced him.

if ward is the best then he should of fought bute. he didn't, end of story.

what makes you think that dawson will be stronger? he will be very drained when they fight. just wait and see.

faster? dawson has been a complete zombie throughout his career. he does one speed: 1st gear. nothing more.

his sole ambition is to fight the best? jeez, you make out he's beaten everyone.

froch: held on like a ***** throughout.

kessler: should of been DQ'd. horrible performance.

abraham: had been beaten in the two fights beforehand. he never came to win, he had no confidence.

bika: way past prime, but gave him his toughest test. bika wasn't going to stand for all that mauling ****. the score cards for that fight were corrupt. i had it by two points to ward.

    green: a no one.

    mirander: way past his best.

so stop making out that bute was a huge step down from all the fighters he's faced. that **** won't wash with someone who has a brain.

Maybe he would have. I'd always think Ward would have had an excuse though, like fighting away from Oakland, or money.

I'm not talking about the triangle theory. I know it almost never works. And this thread was never about Ward vs Bute. That's what everyone else turned it into.

And clinching is not illegal. So I don't know how that could be described as cheating. As far as the headbutts go... Kessler is the only fighter that has complained about headbutts. No other fighter that Ward has fought has complained or even hinted that that's why they lost. You would think that if Ward is "such a dirty cheater" as you claim, that more fighters would be complaining. But no. Only Kessler's butthurt ass, along with his butthurt fans.

And did you even watch the Ward/ Froch fight? Froch was holding on just as much as Ward was... watch it again.
