It was obvious the biggest issue Ward has in his loss to Sergey Kovalev was the speed of The Krusher. Being that Kovalev is a relative plodder, imagine what a prime- or maybe indeed even a current- version of Calzaghe would have done to him with his electrifying speed.

I see even Ward's bought and paid for WWF style special guest ref doing everything he can to help Ward out (ala Cortez with Hopkins) but in the end, the tearful ref has to step in a save Ward in the middle rounds before he ends up like Jeff Lacy.
