I'd be rooting for Froch, but I don't see a way he wins a decision against Ward. Unless Carl lands the perfect punch that turns Ward's lights out for the 10 count, Ward wins another wide decision.
Froch is a man of his word. He said he doesn't want a rematch with Ward and that's what he meant. He said he is retired and will not come back, and that's what he meant. Carl Froch is a man of his word.
Quite possibly. I would say yes for several reasons. First Froch seems to fight better as a challenger or when coming back from a loss or disputed fight. But the main reason I think it would be different is that American and American based SMWs struggle to win big SMW fights when they go to Europe. Consider Taylor, Dirrell, Mitchell, Brewer, Lacy, Johnson, Butler, Andrade, Sheika to just mention a few were beaten in SMW fights in Europe. I think Ward would have struggled if not the home fighter. Consider every original Super6 fighter won their home bout and Ward didnt leave home for the Super 6. It makes you wonder why he never fought as the away fighter. Tell me which American/American based SMW has won a SMW title fight when they have challenged or defended in Europe? I think this gives an indication of a different fight and result
Well ... he did get a travel visa out of Oakland for the Kovalev match. Though mummy said that he had to be back for supper or it was the slipper for him.
Tell me how many American or American based SMWs have won in SMW title fights away? Wait for the answers
