Why should he have fought Dawson at LHW? He's a natural SMW, he's not looking to move up, even now. Dawson wanted the fight and publicly stated he was happy to move down for it. That's his problem.

Ward is a better boxer than Froch but Froch's resume pisses all over Ward's.

Because he could have cleaned out SMW and LHW.

What's Andre gonna do? Keep doing rematches at 168? Please..

And who's at LHW besides Dawson? Practically nothin'. He hasn't got much to choose from either way.

I agree he has to move up. Ir take a big money fight with the winner of that fight in europe. There is nothing else in this division. There is maybe Stieglitz as a champion who he did not face so far.
At LHW there are some names and also many upcoming good fighters.

Just watched Kessler-Ward. That refereeing was crooked as hell. If Kessler is improved and wins this, anything but a rematch in Europe is a clear duck by Ward.
Froch would still be easy work. styles..

Does Ward really think he's a star? He couldn't sell out a telephone booth.

Perhaps not in monetary terms. But since he's ranked top 5 P4P by most, he is a star in boxing terms at least.

    Neither is Ward.

At the very least Froch fights the best and is willing to travel. Ward has shown no signs of wanting to travel overseas to fight the best in his division.

This is all boring dribble from a very inactive champion.

Because he was lucky enough to be granted rematches :good

When the situations were turned and there was close or controversial fights, Lennox avoided giving rematches out himself: Klitscho, Mercer, Holy 2nd fight :good

    Here's another great stat:

Never ever fought a southpaw- not as a novice pro nor at the high level.

Real unusual , and not an accident.

personally i give consideration with losses.. duran loosing to sugar ray did not mean much to me but him beating Leonard is possibly one of the best wins of any fighter of that era

delahoya also lost alot of big name fights but i still rank him as an ATG
