People from Montreal dont vote in the US congress election etc.

The 26 county Republic of Ireland is one sovereign state.

The 6 county Northern Ireland is part of the UK.

Andrew Trimble plays rugby for Ireland despite considering himself more British.

Most of the Irish cricket team are unionists from the North.

Same in rowing,cricket, hockey ,Golfetc. That why using sports events as measures of what is a country and what isnt IS TOTALLY STUPID!



They can choose in a sport like Soccer because anyone from the north can also gain and Republic of Ireland passport.

Thats why nearly every soccer player from the north that is any good plays for the Republic rather than the North itself.

By "travelled" he means getting in his car driving 100 miles,and going to another part of his own country
