Stellar amateur career, something like 360-5, similar to Ward. Beaten guys in the vests who had much better handspeed, and more athletic than him ( Dirrell, Despaingne, Bute ), had to be patient and thoughtful. I can only go off of that because he hasn't been afforded the opportunity as of yet to face the top guys in the pros. I do agree with you that he should face the Martinez-JCC winner first. Never compared Golovkin to Ward, i said it would be a very competitive fight and im firm in that belief.

You've got to seriously favour Ward but i think it is the potentially most interesting and difficult fight out there for Ward. If Golovkin is as good as he looks that is, still untested at the highest level

Exactly :good Of course Ward would be favourite but id ask anyone to name a tougher fight out there for him at 168 ( won't include Sergio, too small to move up )

Golovkin is busting light heavy's and cruisers up at Big Bear. I think he would do fine.

Ward schools him i would give Golovkin a slim punchers chance but not more than that.

I'd rather see him fight Pirog but that's not happening.

In another year, Golovkin-Ward has superfight potential. Gennady just needs 1-2 more showcase fights to bridge the gap between his name value and his skills.

Matching guy who could make 154 and who is only to brave and willing to fight guys bigger than him against a guy who will be lightheavy in few years.

If they actually were same size Golovkin would make it look like Kostya vs Zab Judah.

Golovkin walks around at 158lbs and could make Light-Middleweight with ease. No way should he go up to 168, let alone to fight Ward.
