Golovkin would be foolish to move up to fight Ward at this time. Ward has a point though, Golovkin shouldn't be marketing himself as someone who will fight anyone at 168, if he has no intention of doing just that at this time.

 

Well, the thing is thats what they told HBO. If HBO puts the right offer on the table I think it holds true.. but K2 isnt gonna take "opponent" level terms. If Ward wants to call out GGG , which is what he is doing here, he needs to send a contract for a venue outside of Cali, and even split.

No way that K2 is going to send GGG to fight on Wards turf with his hometown refs and judges at "opponent" level pay. Ward is the one who needs to put his money where his mouth is here. Reason K2 is waiting to move up and cleaning out 160 first is so they can make the big fights on even terms.
