Ward has nothing to gain in fighting Golovkin, who is unproven. It doesn't matter, because Ward would dominate him if they did fight.
Gennady is the biggest plausible fight and Kovalev/Stevenson are not going anywhere, while growing value.
The same guys calling for Ward-GGG now are the same guys that trashed GGG and who picked Stevens to win. No shocker there. They were the same guys saying Kid Chocolate would end the GGG hype before they moved on to their next hope. So, the real question is- why are you all wanting Ward to fight a guy so badly that you'll give him absolutely no credit for beating? If Golovkin's an overrated cherry picker who only bullies limited, smaller fighters, what's that doing for Ward? Dare I say it...isn't that be the same kind of move you rag on (gasp) Pacquiao for?
GG's fans are filled with hope...hope he won't ever live up to his claim of fighting ANYBODY from 154 to 168.
*****s are so insecure. Insecure and racist as hell. They're always looking to expose 'racism' and 'double standards' 24/7. They're like robots that have been programmed to play the victim all the time. That's literally all they ever do. That and suck black fighters nuts and get all insecure and threatened by fighters of other races, particularly white ones. The gaping irony is they're the most racist fukkas of all and so are the fighters whose balls they suck on. Floyd being one of them. I predict that one of them will respond to this post by trying to expose some kind of inherent double standard in it. Probably via their preferred method of attacking a white fighter. Lmfao.
HBO needs to build these guys up as their two stars. Not face them off with each other (usually that's what to do, but business wise I truly believe HBO would be best off never squaring them off... or at least to wait and see what happens until then). Move Ward to 175 with those great fights as staying at 168 isn't hurting his legacy, but preventing it from being greater, and keep GGG doing his great ratings against fringe contenders.
Golovkin has about 18 fights left... say 4/year over the next three, and 3/year in the last two. You can't wave the 'never' flag on that one right now because there's still plenty of time left. Cleaning up 160 is first on the list.
The "reverse racism" is pretty rampant in some of these guys. I am a white person, and around 35-40% of my favorite fighters are black. That leaves 60-65% for everyone other race: Mexican, European, White, etc. I don't see race in boxing, nor in my personal life. I look at boxers for their talent and athleticism, I look at people in my personal life for who they are as a person. On the other side of the coin, I doubt people like Mr Pibb, et al have any non-black fighters in their favorites list, yet they come in here calling everyone else racist for no good reason, all while being, themselves, the biggest racists. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds, apparently. This is a boxing forum, where are the moderators to delete these dumb, race posts? This type of racist pap belongs in some politically oriented forum elsewhere on the Internet, not here, where boxing should be discussed on its substance. As to the OP, I've commented at length, extensively on this topic. I'm not falling for the bait to regurgitate it all here. Look up my previous replies on the topic if you care.
Unfortunately the tactics you described are not relegated to why they support certain fighters. It is more accurately a template for how they live their lives.
